Modutrak displayed for the first time at the 2010 National Train Show in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. We had our largest ever layout at this show consuming a 50×60 foot area. Shows like this are always special as we get to see a lot of old friends, make some new ones and overall take in a great atmosphere. Thanks to everyone that stopped by to chat and have a look around – your kind words of encouragement always mean a lot to us.
The rest of the summer will be a break for us till October when we display at the Railroad Prototype Modelers show in Naperville, Illinois. Meanwhile here are a few photos we took at the show.
Great work! Saw u all last year @ trainfest in Milw. Been following your thread and other info. Building my own layout in a modular form. Hope U don’t mind but I am incorporating some of your ideas like layout height and interchangability. Built two, one foot square moduels to test my idea which is a departure from yours. I am making my modular breaks in the center of roads that cross the layout. i use drywall mud for the roads and dental floss to seperate the modules when dry. i am modeling the B.N. (formerly C.B.&Q.) Geneva branch that runs thru nthe near west side of Aurora IL.
